We welcome Julie Cameron, EA, MAAA, to Cheiron as a Consulting Actuary.

Julie joins us after 20 years at the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation, most recently as director of the Negotiations & Restructuring Actuarial Department, where she managed two dozen credentialed actuaries supporting the agency’s guarantee programs covering multiemployer and corporate pension plans.

She was heavily involved in reviewing applications for Special Financial Assistance by distressed multiemployer pension plans under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.

As department head, she also oversaw measuring unfunded liabilities by terminating single-employer plans, reviewed requests for multiemployer plan mergers and transfers, proposed alternative withdrawal liability rules, and participated in rules enforcing ERISA.
