IMA Financial Group Appoints Industry Veteran Josie Martinez as Boston Market Leader

Employee benefits expert and attorney to drive growth and elevate client solutions across the New England region

(BOSTON -- IMA Financial Group, Inc., a North American insurance brokerage firm specializing in risk management, wholesale brokerage and investment advisory, has named Josie Martinez as Boston Market Leader. 

Martinez will oversee IMA’s strategic growth and client service operations in the Boston market and continue advising clients on health and welfare benefits. She previously served as Executive Vice President and Senior Counsel at IMA Boston (formerly EBS). 

Paul J. Rooney will assume the role of Chairman, IMA Boston, with an emphasis on business development and growth in the Boston market.

Martinez brings over 25 years of legal experience to the role, with expertise spanning employee benefits, risk assessment, business strategy, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. She oversees program renewals and implementations while guiding clients through legal and compliance matters.

A recognized community leader, Martinez has served the people of Massachusetts as a Commissioner on the State Ethics Commission and Chair of Governor Baker’s Latino Advisory Commission. She currently serves on the Mass General Brigham Hospital President’s Board of Advisors and previously sat on the boards of Brigham & Women’s Hospital and The Boston Home. She also sits on the board of the IMA Foundation and contributes to IMA’s Women’s Network Mentorship Leadership Team.
