Excerpt: This morning the Subcommittee on the Constitution convenes to explore the privacy concerns raised by the collection, use, and exchange of genetic information by employers and insurers.... Genetic discrimination is the use of genetic information to judge an individual with a predisposition to a certain disease or condition based on the possibility that he or she might one day develop that disease or condition.
