Excerpt: Using the data set behind the Employer Cost Index to impute benefit values on the National Longitudinal Study of Youth and the Current Population Survey, this study finds that workers at the bottom part of the wage distribution exhibit a much stronger correlation between benefits and wages than those at the top.
