Oct. 15, 2007 Excerpt: In a bid to crack the 401(k) nut, TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. subsidiary Amerivest Investment Management LLC and XShares Advisors have partnered to create a family of the first 'lifecycle' ETFs. Also known as target-date funds, these offerings have been extremely popular choices in retirement plans when offered as mutual funds.
