No Help Coming for Massachusetts City's Retiree Medicare Cost

Aug. 13, 2008 Excerpt: It looks like Worcester's municipal retirees will not be getting help from the city anytime soon when it comes to paying their Part B Medicare costs. City Manager Michael V. O'Brien said there is no 'fiscally feasible means' for the city to pick up the tab for any portion of the retirees' Part B Medicare costs without a reduction in municipal services or raising property taxes.
