"Key findings: [1] Most hospitals do not operate in markets with only a few dominant health plans. [2] In most markets, hospital concentration exceeds health plan concentration. [3] Hospital prices are higher in more concentrated hospital markets. [4] Hospital prices in the most concentrated health plan markets are approximately 12 percent lower than in more competitive health plan markets."
