AlbanyConsultant Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I just had a broker tell me that they have an extended date to get the 1099-R to participants of Feb. 15, and that he believes it extends to all 1099-Rs. I've searched for it and can't find anything. Has anyone else heard of this? Thx.
ACox Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I received a notification to that effect on one of my personal accounts. Therefore, I searched the internet and could not locate anything concrete about it applying to all 1099's
WDIK Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=203200,00.html ...but then again, What Do I Know?
JanetM Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 My understanding is the feb 17 date only applies to 1099B (or issue the consolidated INT, DIV, B, OID etc.) If you check IRS site for each of the forms, the INT, DIV, R and others still have the 2/02/09 mailing due date. JanetM CPA, MBA
