Guest 4:15 Limit Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 So far we have had 4 of our clients receive letters from the IRS on their questionnaire project. We operate a small TPA firm and it seems that 4 out of the total 1,200 letters is an astonishing figure. What have other TPA's experienced with this?
K2retire Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 So far we've only heard of one out of about 8,000 plans.
Tom Poje Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 I used to wonder about things like that, then I was called for Jury duty 3 or 4 years in a row.... I seem to be off the cycle for now.

Guest 4:15 Limit Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 We administer approximately 300 401(k) plans, 4 of which received the letter...
Belgarath Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 I'm hoping that your bad luck means that we won't get any!!!
Gadgetfreak Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 I just posted something about this in another thread. Perhaps you can comment there on my questions? ERPA, QPA, QKA
Guest TBick Posted August 4, 2010 Posted August 4, 2010 I just posted something about this in another thread. Perhaps you can comment there on my questions? We've received two of these questionaires on our clients. Just love the language that says you don't have to do it then threatens you with an audit if you don't complete. I did a search and didn't find another thread...can you help me out?

Guest SBosworth Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 For those of you who have helped clients respond to the 401(k) questionnaire, do you know if it's necessary to provide the requested coverage demographic data for all years (2006 - 2008) if the client relied upon the 3-year testing cycle set forth in Rev Proc 93-42? Does anyone have an IRS contact for questions that do not relate to a specific client?
PensionPro Posted August 10, 2010 Posted August 10, 2010 Here is the IRS contact information: http://www.irs.gov/retirement/article/0,,id=96919,00.html PensionPro, CPC, TGPC
