Guest Copper Posted February 11, 2000 Posted February 11, 2000 Must match forfeiture allocated to salary of deferrees be included in the ACP test? The document lists a discretionary match, no set formula such as 35% up to 6%; it just says discretionary up to 6%. So the formula is OK, BUT, must you use the match forf? What are the pros/cons? If the document did say 35% up to 6%, being a specific % limit, then you couldn't, correct?
imchipbrown Posted February 11, 2000 Posted February 11, 2000 You probably don't believe it, but I don't think you've given enough info for a response. What's the specific problem? (I assume there's a problem, or you wouldn't post.) Usually, with a discretionary match, forfeitures are allocated in the same way as the match, so assume the forfeiture is an actual contribution and allocate accordingly. As the surgeon general advises, please check your plan document for adverse conditions that may apply. [This message has been edited by Chip Brown (edited 02-10-2000).]
Guest Copper Posted February 12, 2000 Posted February 12, 2000 No, no problem; just inquiring minds want to know! I've never in 9 years did it, and it's wierd to see a plan that does. Just want to see what "ya'll" are doing.
