Monica Barnard Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I have a life & health license and have to take ethics for that as well as for ERPA. Can I count the one ethics class for both?
david rigby Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 An interesting ethical question. Perhaps your question should be part of your class. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
BG5150 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I would check with the people running the class. QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
masteff Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Generally speaking about continuing education, it's done all the time. Most common example I've personally experienced is programs that target both CPAs and attorneys; I knew several people who'd use them to "kill two birds w/ one stone". Biggest issue is that different bodies may count hours of credit differently. Kurt Vonnegut: 'To be is to do'-Socrates 'To do is to be'-Jean-Paul Sartre 'Do be do be do'-Frank Sinatra
Bill Presson Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Monica, as long as the state insurance dept & the ERPA groups have both approved the class, then it counts for both. Below Ground 1 William C. Presson, ERPA, QPA, QKA bill.presson@gmail.com C 205.994.4070
