heygents Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 We have a client that reinstated their match in the middle of the plan year. The employer would like to add an additional discretionary match now that their plan year has completed. Is it possible to only include the period of the plan year in which the employer reinstated in calculating the discretionary match amount? Thanks
BG5150 Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 First, does the plan allow for an additional discretionary match? QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
Lou S. Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Read the Plan document, that will tell you the basis for the allocation.
