When cross testing you most certainly can impute disparity, you just cannot impute on the SHNEC. For simplicitiy's sake, a 3% SHNEC plus a 2% gateway, you can impute disparity on the 2% gateway, just not on the 3%SHNEC.

And the match doesn't get included in the gateway.

QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPA

Two wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.

but a match would be included in the avg ben pct test.

however, you would not impute on any match.

think of it this way:

you can have a profit sharing plan that is integrated. therefore you have 'permission' to impute disparity on the nonelective (whether or not your formula actually is integrated or not.

however, the regs are clear you can't use the safe harbor towards integration, therefore you can't impute disparity on the SHNEC.

if you can find somewhere , a match formula 50% of the first 3% deferred plus 5.7% deferral above the Taxable Wage base, then I guess you could impute disparity on the match.

hope you are keeping warm up in Michigan!

and thanks to the Spartans for beating the evil empire!!!!!

From a Big 10 (11 12 13 14) neighbor of MI,

we don't see it so much as evil, but as consistently overrated in everything. :shades:

MSU is simply the better team this year.
