JKW Posted September 7, 2016 Posted September 7, 2016 I have a 12/31 plan that needs to refund a few hundred dollars to a participant for 401k deferral b/c it was erroneously with held on severance pay in 2015. What is the best way to correct this now in 2016? Just a check to the participant and what is the tax code? Is there any other way? TIA.
