Dawn Hafner Posted May 19, 2000 Posted May 19, 2000 Does anyone know of fund companies that do the daily recordkeeping, have 1-800 and/or Internet, and offer downloads to TPAs? I know MFS and Kemper do. On the insurance side Nationwide, Manulife and Aetna I think do, but I would prefer to stay away from the annuity products. Any other suggestions? I like these arrangements because it leaves the work that we do best to us - compliance, consulting and 5500 work, but not many fund families offer this type of arrangement. DMH
Guest TrustMe401k Posted May 19, 2000 Posted May 19, 2000 American Funds has a program but they are pretty picky about what TPA's they allow to use their program. It may be worth checking out.
Guest Posted May 28, 2000 Posted May 28, 2000 I spoke to someone this past week that indicated American Funds has come out with a new product called Plan Direct where they will do the recordkeeping for plans with less than 50 lives. They have decided to move away from Bisys (probably not a bad idea) Evidently, they have discontinued their Plan Connect program, whereby TPA's could sign up with them to place trades, but the TPA would do the recordkeeping. It's possible we're going to see more and more of this type of recordkeeping being handled directly by the mutual fund companies. I think it will be a viable product for the future, as long as they are offering a multiple fund platform. ------------------ Carol J. Ringwald President CJR Consulting Group, Inc.
Guest carolneill Posted June 7, 2000 Posted June 7, 2000 Although we are not a fund company, we can provide daily accounting services, while you retain the client relationship and the compliance work. Email me if you would like additional information. ------------------ Carol A. Neill, CEBS Consulting Associate McCready and Keene, Inc.

Guest Posted July 1, 2000 Posted July 1, 2000 I understand that Alliance Capital offers what you may be looking for. You still have to do the compliance and testing but they produce a brokerage type statement. ------------------
