Excerpt: Even if Congress approves legislation giving commercial airlines pension funding relief, Delta Air Lines Inc. may terminate its pension plans, resulting in a multibillion dollar loss that could be the biggest ever for the federal pension insurance agency. In a long-expected move, Delta on Wednesday filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will not make its next required contribution to its pension plans.
