Excerpt: The American Academy of Actuaries'1 Multiemployer Plans Task Force provides this analysis to address a number of issues related to multiemployer plans present in current pension funding reform legislation, specifically the Pension Protection Act of 2005 (H.R. 2830) as passed by the House Education and the Workforce Committee2 and the Pension Security and Transparency Act of 2005 (PSTA, S.1783), which was passed by the full Senate on November 16, 2005.
