Excerpt: An Ohio plan to offer 12 weeks' leave to pregnant female workers is not a blanket guarantee, it turns out. The Ohio Civil Rights Commission now says pregnant women should be entitled to three months' leave only if the time off is 'medically recommended.' The medical stipulation was added without fanfare, in response to complaints from business groups, during a commission meeting in late October.
