The Advantages of Using Conventional Actuarial Approaches in Valuing Public Pension Plans
National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems [NCPERS]
Nov. 26, 2008
Excerpt: The publication makes the argument that current actuarial methods for valuing assets and liabilities in public pension plan are appropriate and that requiring new disclosures are not only burdensome, but also do not provide any new insight into the health of the plan.
