Experienced In-House Counsel Joins Maynard Cooper & Gale

Maynard Cooper & Gale (Maynard) is pleased to welcome Sarah Dorner to the Firm’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Practice. Ms. Dorner will work from the Firm’s Birmingham, AL office.

Ms. Dorner returns to Maynard as Of Counsel after more than five years as in-house legal counsel for a global banking institution with over 10,000 employees. She has experience handling all facets of an employer’s benefits plans and the regulatory and compliance issues from the employer’s perspective, particularly those in the banking and financial services sector. With over ten years of experience in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, Ms. Dorner now focuses on assisting clients across a broad spectrum of matters involving all types of qualified and non-qualified plans, health and welfare plans, and incentive compensation arrangements. She has substantial experience advising clients on complex qualified and non-qualified plan and health and welfare issues, as well as assisting clients with the day-to-day administration of qualified and non-qualified plans and health and welfare plans.

Ms. Dorner earned her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law, and she holds a B.S, summa cum laude, from Mississippi State University.
