Weirton Steel Declares Bankruptcy; Pension Plan Underfunded
Excerpt: "Bankrupt Weirton Steel yesterday reported a first-quarter loss of $74.8 million and said a temporary reprieve from making estimated contributions of $50 million this year to its underfunded pension plan is in jeopardy.
