My understanding is yes as long as she is still employed at the same employer, however 90-24 transfers will be a thing of the past when the 403(b) regs go into effect in 2007.

If its within 60 days of the original withdrawal and you haven't had a similar transaction within the last 365 days with the same funds, you may rollover the $ back into the ROTH IRA. See IRS Publication 590.

The RMD must be calculated each year based on the oldest beneficiary's age in the year following the year of death and then 1 year is subtracted from that life expectancy each year following. If accounts are separated for each beneficiary before the end of the year following the year of death, then each individual beneficiary's life expectancy can be used.

Andy H. Just an availble picture on the board. I'm trying to figure out something more appropriate to put up. Appleby, I echo Lori's comments. I was able to handle 1 at a time but twins. That's marvelous.

The questions I get are far more interesting than the movie quiz. What does L.P mean. Elvis who? Were there antiques when you were a kid? Did you have a Nintendo? For the record, I was born in the same year the political state of Israel was formed but some days I feel as old as "Israel" itself.

Trust me. Its not the kids yet but will be soon. I have 5. 12, 15, 19 22, 24. Been in this busisness since Pre-ERISA.

Rollover of SIMPLE IRA to Qualified Plan if over 59 1/2
jevd replied to a topic in SEP, SARSEP and SIMPLE Plans
If current pending legislation passes, it will be a moot point. The current Senate Pension Bill removes the 2 year period and the 25% penalty. -
I'm also thinking about changing my name to "Responsible" I'm the most responsible person in my household> Every time somthing goes wrong. You guessed it. I'M RESPONSIBLE !

OK Long story made somewhat shorter. At a benefits seminar in the Palm Springs area in September/Oct of '87 a certain instructor got lost his hat on a mountain top & made us wait for the last tram to bring him back to the hotel. We decided to play a practical joke as we knew he was from the east coadt and was a little nervous about quakes. Being the instigator of the plan I was elected to tie a string to a chandelier prior to class that someone would pull at a designated time while the rest of us shook the table to rattle the water glasses. While standing on a chair and reaching for the chandelier, it started shaking by itself and the floor started to shake. Perfect. We'll have an aftershock. I'm a believer but I didn't know I had that much pull with the man upstairs. It turns out the epicenter was under my employers computer center in the L A area. When the story got out, I received a call from a V, P. who asked me if I was going to write a check for the deductible. $ 20 very big ones. This is not a made up story. I have very credible witnesses still in the industry. Yes. I'm still in the Denver area and I'm not resp[onsible for the latest quake near here or the Christmas Day '96 when I was here. And believe it or not there was one in Philadelphia area during my time 88- 90 in that city. Maybe I should change my name for the boards. Any suggestions??

Boy did we get off topic. But I guess that's our nature. Started in LA in the Bank/S&L industry before S&Ls had trust powers. Pre-ERISA Moved up and down the Coast then to Philadelphia and then Denver. Every major move a child then figured it out and am staying put. 5 kids ages 12 - 24 b g b g b Am responsible for 1987 Whittier Narrows earth quake epicenter under my employer's computer center. ( Long story for another time)
