The real question is, " Is it just me or does anyone else find this as an unacceptable answer and response time?" There was a LOT of discussion about this at the Relius Summit earlier this week. They acknowledged that it was unacceptable and we were assured repeatedly that they are taking steps to fix the support response issue. I'm hopeful that they are doing what they said and the response time will decrease dramatically over the next few weeks. At the same time, we're extending all of our returns and don't plan to file any until August.

Same question was just asked on Tom's webinar today. Unfortunately, he didn't really appear to understand the question, so there still is no answer. I'm going to be asking about this at the Summit next week.

Can you say "party fund". It's not enough to go to Brazil. Seriously, why not do a simple calculation of the breakdown by participant and send the check to the state escheat office with the identification of the participant's name, address and social security no. Or, in the alternative, you might go to an involuntary rollover providers and set up involuntary rollovers for each of the participants. And who pays him for this wonderful work?

No answers from other users (at least not yet). Make sure to post this as an incident with Relius. Worst case scenario is that I will be attending the Relius Summit on the 6th-8th (including the national daily user group) and I'm quite certain there will be plenty of discussions about this.

I don't know the answer, but I'm checking to see if I can get something for you.

It's a smartphone app that I know is available for blackberry (and probably for iPhone) that makes reading message boards much easier than trying to use the phones browser.

That's correct. Also, if you don't want your signature to be seen by the general public, you're allowed (as an actuary) to just type your name and sign your initials.

We've had this issue. The client ended up telling the investment advisor to make out a check to the Trustee for the entire account and put the money with a different investment advisor

If the deferrals are to two different plans, which ER is responsible for the 1099? There isn't a 1099, my bad. Tom explains the tax consequences on the individual and thus the double taxation.

It's my recollection that your mention of the other distributable event is correct. The other negative is that they still have to get a 1099 for the excess even though they don't get the money. So now those dollars will be taxed twice.

Well, apparently actuaries thought it was a big enough deal to work to convince the DOL that they don't have to sign the SB or MB, only initial.

We had an issue initially in January, but contacted Relius support, they determined the issue (it was on their end) and fixed it quickly. We still aren't having clients use it yet, but have tested it several times without issue since January.

We've filed two of the directly while waiting on everyone else to test Relius Web Client for us. I agree that it's pretty ridiculous. Not sure I would post anything about the credentials.

The most recent information I got is that the printing patch was delayed to 5/2.

We haven't started processing any 5500's yet. I've told my clients that they shouldn't expect to hear from us until the end of May.

Your answer was more right than wrong, especially as it applies to what actually happened and can happen for 2009. It was also right for the incorporation question. So, I think "sorry" might have been enough, but "terribly sorry" was too much.
