My Excel grind agrees with 10-1-2017. I haven't done the math yet.

Thanks Kelly. There's no question that you do a great job responding to issues related to third party vendors. Issues caused by Java have been recurring and breaks your application. We've been able to coach our clients through the fixes, but it is time consuming and puts us in awkward situations like the original post mentions. Please give consideration to other solutions.

Our clients have similar problems. Most are related to the version issue or can be fixed by clearing the Java cache. I've spent my fair share of time using Java apps on the web and I've never had to clear my temporary Java files until I used Relius DVC. They need to kick Java to the curb and redevelop without a third-party application (java, flash, etc.). Same goes for their Java support application.

Glad you found a solution. DB viewer is pretty cool once you learn the lingo.

What tables are you using in your CR and how are they linked? You may be able to change the type of link to include all of the divisions from your employer table to include all of those records. If you want to post the CR report, I'd be happy to take a whack at it.
-
If you use Relius Administration and the associated web products, there are built in solutions for providing spreadsheets, file uploads and direct importing into the system.

Yep, nice try Kim, but we have folks wanting to go from Relius to Quicken. I checked with Relius support and was told that it has been on the enhancement list for some time, but has never been a priority.
-
Does any one have a Relius to Quicken solution? Our participants aren't interested in CSV to Quicken via Big Red Consulting. Thanks.

How to change email address
Fredman replied to Jim Chad's topic in Using the Message Boards (a.k.a. Forums)
Click on My Controls (or here) at the top, then look along the left side of the screen. You should see a Change email Address link under the Options box. -
They also have online training available. See http://www.relius.net/Training/ListOnDemand.aspx Its not quite as exciting as HD on-demand from your favorite cable or satellite provider (sorry Mr. Reasnor), but we've found it to be useful for training new employees. Some sessions are free, others are not.

where have all the avatars gone...

Woot! -
A bounty hunter is someone who pursues fugitives or criminals for whom a reward is offered. It made more sense when the avatars for the boards used to work as I had a pic of Jango Fett, a bounty hunter from Star Wars. Probably the most famous real life bounty hunter is Duane Chapman, aka Dog the Bounty Hunter.

With all due respect to Dave's idea, I've had more reported posts since this has been activated than the previous couple of years combined. Granted the numbers don't point towards widespread abuse, but I think its only a matter of time before something or someone hits the boards with hundreds, if not thousands of guest posts. IMHO, allowing non-registered users to do anything other than read is asking for trouble.

I'm not familiar with Nationwide, but I think I understand the problem. You need one row for each SSN and source combination, but your DER creates one row for each SSN. If you are familiar with pivot tables in Excel it is possible to create a "reverse" one. Use your DER to get the data in Excel, then follow the instructions found here, http://j-walk.com/ss/excel/usertips/tip068.htm.

Very nice Austin! Thanks for posting back your finished report.

Go to section expert, then click on Details (not one of the individual detail sections). You should see the option to Format with mulitple columns. I've never played around with this option before, but looks like it could be handy.

Personally, I've passed on Adobe. About a month ago, I was searching for something similar and found PDF Creator (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/). Its open source/freeware, so you get what you pay for, but so far I've found it to be every bit as good as Adobe with less overhead and much cheaper. I have it running on a machine that sends our trade files. The trading vendor's software requires a printer to be hooked up, but with PDF Creator set as the default printer all of our trade reports now get saved as a PDF file with no user intervention.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it appears you were able to figure this out.
