coleboy Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 We are in the process of taking over a plan that is currently a QACA Safe Harbor plan. Client would like to switch to a traditional safe harbor. Can this be done?
C. B. Zeller Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 Yes, but not in the middle of a plan year. You can make the change effective for the next plan year. Free advice is worth what you paid for it. Do not rely on the information provided in this post for any purpose, including (but not limited to): tax planning, compliance with ERISA or the IRC, investing or other forms of fortune-telling, bird identification, relationship advice, or spiritual guidance.
