RatherBeGolfing Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 Has anyone used FT Williams Distribution Tracking Software (DTS)? It has some features that look very appealing but I'm wondering how much time you spent setting it up and if you have had success getting clients to use it to initiate and sign off on distribution and loan requests. Thanks.
Bill Presson Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 We worked with them to help design it and are starting to use it extensively. We don't use it for client signatures. We use it strictly to track where the distribution is in the process. They needed to have some options for people that run in house daily as well. William C. RatherBeGolfing Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Thanks Bill. We have quite a few balance forward plans that DTS would work well for, and I like the integration with the other FTW modules like 1099 and compliance. I REALLY like that we can use the DTS user forms to autocomplete forms for different platforms like JH and American funds, because then I only have to teach someone one system in order for them to deal with distributions from multiple platforms
C. B. Zeller Posted August 14, 2019 Posted August 14, 2019 We have been looking at it for a while now and just recently decided to go ahead and buy it. Our primary use case is to replace insecure email for transmitting sensitive info like SSNs and banking info. We are still in the process of getting it set up so I can't comment on sponsor engagement yet, but I can tell you that Holly at FT William has been extremely accommodating whenever we have had questions or feature suggestions. Free advice is worth what you paid for it. RatherBeGolfing Posted August 14, 2019 Author Posted August 14, 2019 Holly is awesome, she did our first demo with them back in 08 or 09 i think. Overall FTW has always been responsive when it comes to adding features or functions.
