If somebody is making both pre-tax and Roth deferrals, what's the hierarchy for the SH Match?  If they are deferring 5% pre-tax and 5% Roth, does the match go 2.25% pre-tax and 2.25%  Roth?

What if it's like 8% pre-tax and 1% Roth?  4% pre-tax match and 1/2 % Roth?

Would it be in the document?

Not sure I understand the question - does the plan have different match formulas for pre-tax and Roth deferrals?

Generally the deferral percentage for purposes of calculating match would be (pre-tax + Roth)/comp.

Yeah.

Never mind this.

Another senior moment.

Not my best week...

It's ok; your last response gave me a chuckle, and that's always worthwhile! Thanks.

What is your definition of "senior" - ??? I just lean towards "yeah, I'm a senior" - it covers all contingencies. I have to say that the benefits of growing older have largely escaped me. Maybe I'll think otherwise when I retire!

And as Elmer Fudd would say, "Be vewy cafew." Some people on these boards lack a good sense of humor.

The age threshold is down to 50 now.

Or perhaps lower if you identify as a senior ?

I believe California has provided that one of the options on the birth certificate (along with about 10 others!) is "Senior".  Would qualify for discounts from day one!
